EdgeUp Consulting helps mid-market manufacturers get their operations, ERP systems, and financial reporting working together, so production schedules are reliable, planning teams can trust their numbers, and leaders can make decisions based on what's actually happening on the floor.

About EdgeUp Consulting

EdgeUp Consulting was founded by Kerry Kennedy, an operations and ERP consultant with more than 15 years of experience in manufacturing and service businesses.

My work sits at the intersection of operations, planning, and ERP behavior.

I specialize in helping manufacturers using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain get reliable production schedules, trustworthy planning data, and the finite capacity foundation needed to support Capable to Promise.

I also work with manufacturers and professional services firms on broader fractional operations leadership — helping teams clarify workflows, align systems, and build the operational infrastructure to support growth.

If your systems and your operations aren't telling the same story, that's the problem I solve.

How I Help

Robotic Arm Assembly

Operations & Systems Diagnostic

When production plans, job data, and financial reporting don’t line up, everyone feels it: the shop floor, operations leadership, and finance.

I start by mapping how work actually moves through your organization — from order to production to shipment to financial results. We identify where data is duplicated, changed, or lost and where handoffs break down between teams and systems.

From there, I design a practical future-state workflow and a 90- to 180-day plan to get there using the systems you already own.

Finite Capacity Implementation

Most manufacturers who go live on Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain never successfully implement finite capacity planning. Schedules are unreliable, planners go back to Excel, and Capable to Promise never materializes.

The problem is specific D365 behaviors that cause finite capacity to silently produce wrong dates, and most implementation partners don't know they exist.

I've spent 100+ hours diagnosing these behaviors. I know where the failures come from and how to fix them.

Fractional Operations Leadership

Some businesses don’t need a full-time operations leader but do need someone accountable for how work, systems, and financial data flow through the business.

In a fractional role, I provide ongoing leadership across operations, systems, and finance to keep production planning, reporting, and execution aligned.

Your team retains day-to-day ownership while I focus on making sure the systems and processes behind the work continue to support the way the business actually runs.
